Ashley and Brad- Downtown Milwaukee Wedding

I met this crazy, beautiful bride about four years ago when she was dancing as a Diamond Dancer with one of my best friends. We all got to know each other and decided to run a half marathon together! It was an amazing experience to share and left me feeling very accomplished! A few years later, I was the photographer at our friend Ally’s wedding where Ashley was the Maid of Honor. Ally (the bride of the time) plotted to set up Ashley with Brad (the groom’s cousin). No one would have guessed that the couple would stick! Ashley and Brad hit it off and are now best friends. It’s easy to feel the love that they have for each other. When Ashley and Brad’s big day came, it was even better than they had planned for. The amount of family and friends that showed up and helped celebrate the newlyweds was truly amazing. These two clearly touch the hearts of many!

Ashley and Brad- I know you guys are going to go many places and build wonderful memories together! I really cant wait to see where you guys go!Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your “beginning!”

Nikki and Josh-Lake Geneva WI Wedding

Let me start this blog off by admitting that I know a lot more about this bride than most of my other brides! Nikki and I met on the first day of first grade and were in the same class together until we went our separate ways in high school. We have many great memories together including sleepovers, volleyball, and even toilet papering a few houses (my dad’s idea FYI). After school, we went our separate ways. When Nikki contacted me to tell me that she was engaged and wanted me to capture their big day from behind the lens, I was ecstatic! Nikki and Josh are the absolute perfect, goofy couple.

Their wedding was intimate and classic. I have never seen Nikki so elegant and beautiful! Her dress reminded me of old Hollywood. Their venue was the Maxwell Mansion in Lake Geneva, which is one of my favorites in the area. It’s a small but stunning mansion with beautiful details and character everywhere you look….the perfect setting for the smaller wedding they were going for. It’s crazy how time flies and moments like these make me happy that I have a career that allows me to connect with old friends for the big moments in their lives!

Nikki and Josh- Thank you for being the sweetest and goofiest couple! It was a joy to show you the “working Kim” instead of the “awkward Kim” that you know and love! 🙂 Congrats on your big day! I couldn’t be happier for the both of you!

Tony and Jessica-Milwaukee Yacht Club Wedding

Tony and Jessica have to be one of the most zen couples I have ever had the pleasure of working with. They were excited but calm and easy going for the entirety of their pictures. Im not going to lie, downtown Milwaukee was not easy on us! A Northwestern Mutual event, an air and water show, and unexpected rain, were just a few obstacles that we encountered. But that didn’t stop this couple from rocking their session!

The couple now lives in the Suburbs of CHI-TOWN, but they wanted to get married in the “city where it all began” (Milwaukee). Who knew that Marquette University would not only be an amazing school to attend and get a degree, but also to meet your soulmate! So of course we had to make a stop at the gorgeous campus in between the ceremony and reception. As we were getting started with pictures, mother nature decided to play a joke on us and start raining! Because we live in Wisconsin and the weather changes almost every minute, I am very use to this, like most of us are. So it cracked me up when Tony wanted to run back to the bus, but as for Jessica, she wanted to suck it up and not let a little water stop us! And I am so happy she decided to stick it out! The pictures will now be with them forever!

Tony and Jessica- It was a big treat to have such a wonderful couple to work with and I cant wait to get together and continue this friendship!!

Caryn and Jared- Pewaukee, WI Golf Course Wedding

I could see Caryn and Jared’s love for one another last year while photographing their engagement session, but on their wedding day I could tell that love had grown even deeper. The emotions that radiated from them were contagious and even had me choked up behind my lens. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful summer afternoon. The sun shone, the birds sang, and everyone loved celebrating the newlyweds. Caryn and Jared were married on a stunning Pewaukee golf course that had an incredible view. It was truly a photographer’s dream canvas and these two painted every ounce of it with beauty! I would love to thank this couple for trusting me to document the biggest moment of their lives! I hope that I can work with you both again when you come visit the good old state of WI! I wish you both all of the best!

Jennifer and Collin-Downtown MKE Wedding

Meeting one of my couples ON their wedding day is not ideal for me, but of all people to be in this situation-I’m so glad it was Jen & Collin! I felt like I knew them the second I walked in the door. Jen inquired me about a year and half before their special day. She told me that her and her fiancé decided to move out to South Carolina for a change of scenery and would be doing their engagement pictures out there. I decided right there to befriend her on all social media so we could get to know each other throughout the year. I am so glad we did that! Jen & Collin have a passion for running and thats how they originally met! While running the Rock ‘N Sole in Milwaukee three years ago, Jennifer laid eyes on Collin and took it upon herself to introduce herself during the run and even decided to run the rest of the race with him and his brother! She even told me that he didn’t even ask for her number afterwards, so she had to find him on Facebook to ask for HIS number. You go girl! He told me that he couldn’t believe she didn’t have a boyfriend already and thats why he had no clue that Jen was interested in talking. These two are incredibly in love, which is easy to see right away. Saturday June 16th, 2018 had to be one of the hottest days on record, but that didn’t stop them from having the best day of their lives! They even had one of the most epic wedding crashers, Donald Driver! Jen & Collin, your wedding is one for the books! I am so grateful and proud to have been a part of your beautiful day! I wish you guys a life of exciting and wonderful things. I know you two will take on this world running in the wind with each other!!

Kylie and Jared-Downtown MKE Wedding

Kylie and Jared currently live in Boston for Jared’s job but decided to host their wedding here, “back home.” I was thrilled when they hired me to capture their big day! Due to the distance, we were unable to meet in person before their wedding. This didn’t stop us from quickly becoming friends, excited to celebrate their marriage. This couple has got to be one of the kindest-hearted couples I have ever met. Their love for their family and friends is contagious! Kylie even surprised her dad with a Metallica song for their first dance (how cool is that)?! All of the details fell right into place and I am so lucky to have been part of such a beautiful day!

Kylie and Jared- I really hope that you guys move back home so I can get to know you guys even more and hopefully capture more special moments in your life!! Thank you for trusting me to be your photographer! I hope that you guys look back years from now and feel like you are right back in the moment!!

Robert and Kasia-Burlington WI Wedding

Upon meeting with Kasia and Robert, I could instantly tell just how perfect they are for one another. Their story is unique in that their moms had worked together years before the two would meet! One day, Kasia wanted to try and set up her friend with Robert, not knowing that Robert really wanted to go on a date with her! Fast forward to now, and their big day turned out to be the perfect June wedding…just the wedding they had both dreamed of.

Thanks to the both of you for letting me capture your beautiful day!

Bridesmaid Styled Shoot-Lincoln Park IL

If you follow me personally, you probably have noticed that I moved right over the boarder and now live in IL (never thought that would happen). I am directly in the middle of two great cities and would love to change my status to both. My friend Samantha and I have wanted to put together a styled shoot for the longest time so thats just want we did. Ironically White Dress Bridal Boutique just opened up a new salon in Lake Forrest and already has a shop in Milwaukee. I got super excited when I found that out so decided to introduce myself and collaborate with them. The dresses that they let us use are beyond stunning. We decided to do a bridesmaid style for our first one. We could not have picked a better group of girls. It was like we were all kids again playing dress up. Bianca first wore the show stopping L8128 by Legends Romona Keveza. This was her first time in a wedding dress and she was a pure natural and should wear one everyday! Caitlin then put on Maldives from Angel Rivera Bridal. She as well knocked it out of the park and looked like a barbie with a side of spunk. All of the vendors that helped put this together really went above and beyond in my eyes. I want to thank all the girls for their time and loosing of feeling due to the cold weather. I hope you guys really know how how thankful for giving up a Sunday to be in front of my camera to make these images as beautiful as I could imagine!!

Sara and Colin- Downtown MKE Wedding

The first wedding of the year has come and gone! Sara and Colin were the perfect couple to kick off my 2018 season. These two dated back in high school and dated for awhile until they decided to part ways in college. That was until fate brought them back together and this time it would be forever. Their wedding was such a wonderful winter wedding. The morning of, mother nature blessed us with a few snow flakes. This good-looking couple was such a joy to work with and I hope I get lucky enough to photograph them again in the future!

Sara and Colin- I am so grateful that you decided to let me and my friend Sarah be by your side during the biggest day of your lives! Can’t wait to see whats next for you two!

The very best of 2017

We’re already a month into the new year…but I’m still taking in all of last year! Sometimes I don’t realize just how amazing the love I witness all year long really is. 2017 was no different! These images are just a sweet little reminder of the year I had with my newlyweds. Thanks to each and every one of you for allowing me to document one of the best days of your lives. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for all of you!
